The team showed off what they’ve accomplished so far in a gameplay trailer, and it looks damn impressive. They also have several YouTubers and other content creators covering and supporting the project, acting as affiliates. Many of them are hoping to use this mod to show off their talents to companies, hoping for a career in the gaming industry. Much of the team’s roster already have extensive histories of making mods for video games by Bethesda.

The sound/audio design is also being recreated, with voice lines from the original game being put into NPC’s. Much of the buildings, weapons and enemies have been painstakingly made to look like the original. The original game's skill system is also being brought back, along with some animated 2D artwork of the Vault Boy for each skill. Using the Creation Engine used to make Skyrim and Fallout 4, this team hopes to create a faithful copy of the Mojave Wasteland map, with all the iconic locations, characters and quests from the original.
While this dream is still not likely to happen, a team of modders and dedicated fans decided to make it a goal to give fans a look at what a remastered New Vegas might look like.Ī group within the modding community started the project in 2017, and they've made plenty of progress. Ever since Fallout: New Vegas came out in 2010, fans have been begging Bethesda to let Obsidian make another Fallout game.
